Concentration Camps in Poland
Here is a list of the major concentration camps,
which were created by the Germans, and are now located in Poland. See

AUSCHWITZ
/ BIRKENAU: (Oswiecim): Poland
60 km west of Cracow
(Krakow). Preserved as a museum.
BELZEC: Poland
South east of Lublin on the Lublin-Lvov railway line. Monument.
CHELMNO: Poland
In Polish village of Chelmo, 70 km west of Lodz. Monument.
GROSS-ROSEN: Poland
Satellite camp of Sachsenhausen, in the vicinity of the granite quarry
of Gross-Rosen in Lower Silesia.
MAJDANEK: Poland
Located in a suburb of Lublin, Poland. Memorial camp preserved buildings
and artifacts.
SOBIBOR: Poland
Near Sobibor, in the eastern part of the Lublin District. Monument.
STUTTHOF: Poland
36 km east of Danzig (Gdansk),
at the mouth of the Vistula River. Museum, preserved buildings.
TREBLINKA: Poland
Situated in a sparsely populated area near Malinia: a railway station on
the main Warsaw-Bialystok line; 4 km northwest of the village and
railway stop Treblinka. Memorial.
